Smaller Budget Version of LG G4 Allegedly On the Way

When LG released the G3 last year, we saw a flurry of budget devices released in its wake that resembled the more powerful flagship. It seems LG is continuing that pattern this year with the G4 as well. Earlier today WinFuture released some leaked specs and images of the compact budget version dubbed the G4c. The form factor and look of the phone appear identical to the G4, but along with a smaller 5 inch screen the phone posts heavily reduced specs.

The G4c allegedly will be powered by a Snapdragon 410 processor with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage with a microSD slot. The front camera will be a 8 MP shooter with a 5 MP setup on the front for all your selfie needs. Apparently the screen resolution will also be greatly reduced at a mere 720P. Of course the device will run UX 4.0 on top of Android 5.0 Lollipop. We don’t yet have any pricing or availability information, but the leaked info suggests that it will be released in later June after the flagship G4.

This device has all the looks of the G4, even the same textured back, but no leather option. It appears that the device may only release in European markets but there is a chance we see the same or similar device stateside down the road.  While I wouldn’t mind a smaller G4, it seems LG gutted the specs a little too much for me to pick up this phone. Anyone interested in a more compact G4 with greatly reduced specs?
