Huawei Employee Suggests Nexus Device is Coming

There have been a lot of rumors about two Nexus devices releasing later this year. At this point we expect to see one Nexus phone from LG and another from Huawei. Google reportedly wants to give users size options when it comes to the 2015 Nexus. Many people were unhappy with the huge Nexus 6 phablet, so more options are always welcome. A Huawei employee in the UK has allegedly come forward to tell the IB Times that the company is indeed developing a Nexus smartphone for 2015.

Rumors speculate that the Huawei Nexus variant is codename “angler” and will feature a 5.7″ QHD display. We expect the Huawei device to be the bigger of the two phones, with LG making a smaller version. Huawei has been looking to break into the US smartphone market for a long time, manufacturing a Nexus device for Google should be a fairly safe way to do just that. I recently picked up the Huawei P8 Lite, and I’ve found it to be a delightful little backup phone. I still really want the P8 Max to come to the US, it has a huge 6.8″ screen, but I have a place for it in my rotation as a small tablet! I’m really looking forward to see what Huawei does with this Nexus opportunity, this phone will be on my list for fall, no doubt! Let me know which Nexus (LG or Huawei) everyone is interested in, and keep it locked to HOA for more great Nexus news.

"I am currently a researcher and Adjunct Professor at Arizona State University and Grand Canyon University. I fell in love with Android with the Nexus One release and realized that it was superior to iOS in all the ways I care about. I still use a Mac (and an iPhone for the camera), but my Apple tech products pale in comparison to my number of Android devices (watches, tablets, and phones). When I’m not rooting/modding one of my many Android phones or doing math/programming, you can find me taking in Phoenix Suns/Arizona Diamondbacks games in downtown Phoenix, and drinking good beer!"
