Verizon LG G4 Receiving Software Update

Verizon is sending out the first OTA for their version of the LG G4 today. The update appears to be pretty minor, but does bring some advanced calling enhancements. The official changelog for the update is:

  • Enhanced Folio display during a call
  • Display Contact and non-Contact numbers consistently in the dialer app
  • Enhanced Advanced Calling feature

Many users around the net are reporting that this update allegedly improves some of the touch responsiveness and multi-touch issues that many have faced with the G4 in the first few months. If this is indeed the case, T-Mobile needs to roll out an update to my G4 as soon as possible. Definitely check your phone for an OTA and let us know in the comments if you see any improvements on the lag and touch response issues!

I fell in love with Android with the Nexus One release and realized that it was superior to iOS in all the ways I care about. I still use a Mac (and an iPhone for the camera), but my Apple tech products pale in comparison to my number of Android devices (watches, tablets, and phones). When I’m not rooting/modding one of my many Android phones or doing math/programming, you can find me taking in Phoenix Suns/Arizona Diamondbacks games in downtown Phoenix, and drinking good beer!"
