HTC Vive experience going on tour, SDCC July 9-12

HTC and Valve’s upcoming Vive VR headset is going on a demo tour starting with San Diego Comic-Con July 9-12. When Vive hits your town you can experience all Vive VR has to offer, including trying the headset on for size. HTC and Vive are hitting Comic-Con first to take advantage of the numerous tech-savvy consumers likely to be in attendance. There will also be a few demos during the time in San Diego.

There is no official address or location for the first stop in San Diego, and we’re not really sure exactly what other cities Vive will be visiting. The good news is that HTC Vive now has it’s own Twitter account, go give them a follow if you are interested in trying Vive out in your city.

I’m personally pretty interested in seeing where the VR market heads. I’ve tried the Samsung Gear VR, it is a great experience but needs more content. Hopefully the Vive will deliver on more entertainment value for a VR platform. Anyone interested in trying out one of these headsets in your town?

I fell in love with Android with the Nexus One release and realized that it was superior to iOS in all the ways I care about. I still use a Mac (and an iPhone for the camera), but my Apple tech products pale in comparison to my number of Android devices (watches, tablets, and phones). When I’m not rooting/modding one of my many Android phones or doing math/programming, you can find me taking in Phoenix Suns/Arizona Diamondbacks games in downtown Phoenix, and drinking good beer!"
