Moto G fully outed by online retailer?

Motorola already sent out invites for a July 28 event in New York, London, and Brazil. We fully expect the new Moto G to be announced and we have seen plenty of leaks to support that theory. Today, Swiss online retailer Digitec posted a full spec sheet and purported final renders of both the black and white Moto G. According to the spec sheet the phone will feature a 5-inch FHD (1080p) display, stereo sound, 2070mAh battery, 1.7GHz Snapdragon 615 processor, Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB RAM, 8GB storage (with microSD support), 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Most of these specs seem pretty legit, but the battery size conflicts with an earlier report that mentioned a 2470 mAh battery. Even though the Moto G is a fairly small phone we would prefer to see a larger battery. It also seems odd that the phone would ship with Android 5.0; Motorola has a good track record of shipping new phones with the latest version of Android. I think this phone sounds pretty good if the price is right. Motorola needs to keep in mind that they are now competing with several other manufacturers in the budget phone space. If the price is good, I’ll probably pick on up to give it a quick review. Anyone else interested in the 3rd generation Moto G? What else will we see from Motorola at next week’s event?

I fell in love with Android with the Nexus One release and realized that it was superior to iOS in all the ways I care about. I still use a Mac (and an iPhone for the camera), but my Apple tech products pale in comparison to my number of Android devices (watches, tablets, and phones).
