New LG V10 Render Shows Off Ticker Display

There have been some rumblings of LG’s V10 smartphone for a few months now, but it looks like it is about ready to launch at this point. LG already has an official event scheduled for October 1, so we might very well see the V10 announced along with the rumored G4 Pro. Earlier today Evan Blass leaked the above render of the V10, showing the ticker display in full glory. In addition to the ticker display, there are clearly two cameras in the top left corner of the phone. Why there is a need for two front-facing cameras is a mystery, but it might be an attempt to add additional effects to selfies using the dual camera setup.

The Ticker display itself has a row of LG UX apps and appears that it can be used as a quick launcher similar to the edge display on the Galaxy S6 Edge+ from Samsung. We can probably assume that the ticker display will also offer functionality like weather updates, sports scores, and stocks as well. Perhaps the real questions about the ticker display is, who asked for one? Aside from the new display, slightly larger screen (5.7″) and dual front-facing cameras, the specs on the V10 are rumored to exactly match the LG G4. We’re sure to find out more from LG in 9 days at their event, so stay tuned to HOA News for the latest. Are you interested in a slightly larger LG G4 + ticker display? Could this actually be the LG G4 Pro we’ve heard about?
