Last week we heard that the new Nexus devices would be called Nexus 5X (LG) and Nexus 6P (Huawei). Google looks all set to unveil these devices on September 29th at their event in San Francisco. This afternoon Android Police leaked some pictures showing off the retail packaging for both the 5X and 6P. As you can see in the photos, each box has the appropriate letter laid out in a large graphic covering the entire front. In the top left corner we see a small silhouette of each phone that looks very much like the leaks we’ve seen the past few months. In addition to the silhouette, both of these boxes are for the 32 GB variant, as evidenced by the text under the phones. Android Police mentions that the LG Nexus 5X will be available in 16GB and 32GB storage options, while the Huawei Nexus 6P will be available with 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB storage options.
These boxes definitely look in line with Google’s design for previous Nexus packaging, so all signs point to this being legit. We will finally get to see the real deal next Tuesday when Google stream’s their event live! Stay tuned to HOA for the latest Nexus news up through the event, and try to contain your excitement over the next week!
