The Next Lenovo Flagship Could Be Boss, Thanks To Motorola Design Team!

As you probably know by now Lenovo announced that they would scrap their design efforts and allow Motorola to take full control of design for future Lenovo products. They decided not to scrap the Lenovo brand altogether since they actually have a pretty big market share over seas and already have some consumer awareness. Upleaks posted the first renders of the Motorola designed Lenovo device.

Their are a few similarities between the image and what we have seen with Motorola design cues. The overall body shape is reminiscent of the current Motorola flagships. The front facing speakers are one thing that Motorola also does really well which is also seen on the Lenovo device. The fingerprint scanner sits in the same spot Motorola wanted to place a fingerprint scanner on the X series. There are also very minimal bezels here.

The phone is apparently codenamed “Lenovo Lemon X”. Upleaks has also provided us with some specs for the device.

  • 5.5-inch 1920×1080 Display
  • 21MP rear camera and 8MP front camera
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 808
  • 3GB RAM
  • 64GB Storage

If this phone releases soon the specs are not bad, and actually lineup with most flagship devices currently on the market. If this releases later then this might be dead on arrival in the US anyhow. Im sure it will do great across seas. As much as I liked the Lenovo K3 Note I would love to give this phone a try.
