The fall months are huge for Android device releases. There have already been 20 or more phones that have released in the past month. How does one keep up! LG just released a surprise device that looks pretty awesome. Sony released several devices that look pretty cool. Of course Google announced both their new Nexus devices which I consider must buys. Motorola has out done themselves with this year’s Moto X. The Note 5 is still a huge player on the scene. Xiaomi looks to add a device of their own to the mix just in time for the holiday season.
The Mi Note was a pretty big deal last year. Over the past few years Xiaomi has improved the quality, and have even beaten Samsung in sales in some markets. Leaks suggest that this will be one premium device that should be able to stand next to any other flagship currently on the market. The device may come with a full metal build, a 5.7″ QHD display, a 16mp rear camera, 4GB of ram, 32 GB of onboard storage, and Android Marshmallow 6.0. The upcoming Mi 5 is expected to include the Snapdragon 820 which doesn’t come out till next year, so it makes perfect since that they would release the Mi Note 2 in the meantime.
This phone looks pretty awesome. I am ready for Xiaomi to expand sales to the US market. As it stands the devices are pretty hard to get a hold of. The devices go on sale during one day fire sales. They basically sell until sold out. They would have to be imported at an extra cost if you bought them in the US. You could use a site like Gearbest, but they may not have the phone right away, and they do charge a premium. The device should be announced November 5th.
