Moto X Pure Getting First Soak Test

Moto X Pure Edition HOA Q&A

This afternoon Droid Life received an anonymous tip that Motorola is sending out emails to some Moto X Pure owners that the first soak test is almost ready to roll out. Unfortunately the email doesn’t give any details as to what is contained in this initial soak test. Many users are hoping that we may get a surprise and see Android 6.0 Marshmallow roll out for testing. It does seem pretty early for that considering the Google just started the OTA rollout to Nexus devices earlier this week.

Most likely the soak test is simply to address issues that came up with the phone out of the box. Although, I haven’t noticed a lot of lag or other bugs with the Moto X Pure, so I don’t know what would need such an urgent soak test update. Anyone receive this email from Motorola? Do you think Marshmallow is inbound?

I fell in love with Android with the Nexus One release and realized that it was superior to iOS in all the ways I care about. I still use a Mac (and an iPhone for the camera), but my Apple tech products pale in comparison to my number of Android devices (watches, tablets, and phones).
