Xiaomi Mi5 Clears Chinese Certification Prior To Launch Event!

The first ever Snapdragon 820 device may be available by the end of the month! The Xiaomi Mi5 is set to be the first ever device to feature the new S0C from Qualcomm! The device is scheduled to be announced on November 24th. The device has received the China Compulsory Certificate. This phone may be able to compete with major flagships. It is expected to have a fingerprint scanner to go along with that new chip! On the same certification is another device which could be the upcoming Mi Note 2 Pro. The Mi Note Pro 2 is expected to be the Xiaomi Phablet device. It is also expected to have a premium build with a metal unibody.

With certification on both of these devices it is likely that we will see these announced at the press event on November 24th. It would be great if they also announce the beginning of US sales as it has been nearly impossible to get your hands on these devices in the US without having to go through a 3rd party who generally charges a middle man fee. To get Xiomi phones directly you pretty much have to be in China and be available at the time of their flash sales. They put up a certain number of devices up and the sale goes on until units run out.

Both devices should be priced very competitively. We will know more next week!
