I have been using the LG V10 as my daily driver now for the past two weeks, and I have to say it is one of the most underrated smartphones on the market! The design and camera are both amazing. The only truely lacking feature that I can find is the speaker which is barely audible. The phone is super fast and responsive and LG’s UI while not my favorite is not heavy and cumbersome and is pretty minimalistic. The fingerprint scanner is pretty accurate. It does miss my fingerprint sometimes, but this seems to be a software glitch. The lockscreen will appear with a message place your fingerprint on the power button even though my finger is resting on the button. In these instances I have to put the phone back to sleep and wake it again. It only happens about 10% of the time.
That being said the fingerprint scanner is pretty fast when it works. I decided to compare it to the other big dogs. I tested it against TouchID on the iPhone 6s. I also tested the V10 scanner against the Nexus 6P and Note 5. These all seem to be standard setting devices. The iPhone 6s of course is the standard that all non Android users want to see a device matched against. The Nexus 6P is the standard when it comes to Android, and everyone wants to see how the Galaxy line matches up. Check out the video above to see just how well the LG V10 Scanner fared!
