Moto X Pure 6.0 Update Rolling Out for Verizon, Sprint, US Cellular

Last week we heard that the Moto X Pure Edition was receiving a Marshmallow soak test. We expected to see the official update start rolling out soon if the soak test went well. Apparently the testing went great because David Schuster announced today that Motorola is now rolling out the Marshmallow update to several Pure Edition phones running on Verizon, Sprint, and US Cellular.

As usual, the rollout can take a bit of time, but many users on the aforementioned carriers are already reporting that the device is hitting their phone. With Marshmallow you will get Doze, Google Now On Tap, tweaks with System UI tuner, and many performance enhancements that really speed up performance coming from Lollipop. Now quick, go check your phone for that update notification, I’m downloading mine now!

I fell in love with Android with the Nexus One release and realized that it was superior to iOS in all the ways I care about. I still use a Mac (and an iPhone for the camera), but my Apple tech products pale in comparison to my number of Android devices (watches, tablets, and phones). When I’m not rooting/modding one of my many Android phones or doing math/programming, you can find me taking in Phoenix Suns/Arizona Diamondbacks games in downtown Phoenix, and drinking good beer!"
