New Galaxy S7 Plus Renders Show What Could Be The Next Galaxy Device!

It is still pretty early in the game, or is it? It is pretty widely expected that Samsung will be releasing their Galaxy S6 successor as early as February! If this is true it means that the design is already complete on this device and Samsung will already be preparing accessory makers for Galaxy S7 accessories. Accessory makers get ahead of the game by using blueprints provided by OEMs. Today some fresh Galaxy S7 renders made their way to the internet giving us our best look so far at what could be the next Galaxy device!

These renders focus on the rumored Galaxy S7 Plus variant. The renders show a 5.7″ to 6″ screen. The renders also show off a more rounded metal frame than the s6 and the thickness comes in at only 7.82mm at its thinnest point. Some bad news here is that the S7 in the renders has a micro usb port rather than a USB Type-C which makes you wonder when will Type-C ever take off! Type-C provides faster charging and data transfers so it is unclear as to why Samsung would leave it out of their next flagship device. The home button is thinner and more rectangular than the home button in the S6. The camera is placed on the other side of the front of the phone and very close to the bezel.

The sim tray is in a different spot here. There is only one tray which could mean that we won’t see the S7 add a micro sdcard slot which had been speculated earlier in the month. The renders do not confirm this, but it is widely thought that Samsung will include a pressure sensitive screen to compete with the iPhone’s 3D Touch. These renders should be taken with a grain of salt. Sources are not named, but are called “most trusted sources”. Only time will tell. We should hear from Samsung in the coming months on this and then more than likely we will see a slow roll out of the actual device starting a month or more after the announcement.
