Galaxy Note 5 Active coming to AT&T in November?

Samsung has always released several niche phones in their Galaxy S line. One of the most popular phones has always been the Active version of the Galaxy S flagship. This year the Galaxy S6 Active is arguably one of the best phones you can buy. With a huge battery and rugged exterior, the S6 Active packs all the great specs of the Galaxy S6 into a phone you can actually use all day and not worry about breaking it. Today a rumor emerged from PhoneArena that Samsung is planning to release an active version of the Galaxy Note 5 this year. This is a bit unexpected because the Note series has never received the Active treatment in years past.

The unnamed source of PhoneArena claims that the Note 5 Active will feature a 4,100 mAh battery and a rugged exterior similar to the S6 Active. The rumor also mentions the phone is expected to be available on November 8, exclusively at AT&T. One of the biggest problems with the Active lineup is the carrier exclusive AT&T currently has. I think a lot of people would be interested in a Note 5 Active, but most will not make the switch to a new carrier just to buy this phone. There is currently no information about pricing, but we will keep you updated if any further information surfaces. I know I’d love to see a Note 5 Active with a bigger removable battery AND microSD support. Anyone interested in this phone if Samsung brings back the power to the Note line?
