After the debacle of the LG Urbane 2nd Edition cancellation, a lot of people are looking for the next hot Android Wear device. Today we have another option in the Android Wear market from Fossil, the Q Founder. We previously heard a few leaks about this smartwatch, but we now know it officially runs an Intel chip inside and has a stainless steel case and link bracelet. More importantly, since Fossil has substantial background in making classic watches, the Q Founder looks like a traditional watch. One thing that might deter some users is the presence of the flat tire on the bottom of the watch, similar to the Moto 360 from Motorola.
Other specs include the standard 4GB of storage and a decent size 400mAh battery, but we still do not know about the specific SoC used or the screen resolution, and Fossil does not list these on the specs page. The watch has Bluetooth 4.1 for connectivity, as well as IP67 certification for dust and water resistance. The watch is priced at $295 and you can buy it from the Fossil online store at the link below. If we get more information about 3rd party retailers or additional specs, we’ll update this post! Anyone planning to pick up this watch?
